July True Transactions Award goes to Kilwins

Kilwins Dublin won the July True Transactions Award for its stellar record of using accurate scales and scanners in selling its fine chocolates, fudge and ice creams.
“Well done to the team at Kilwins for their flawless record of using precise scales and scanners as they sell their handcrafted, high-quality chocolates and ice creams,” Auditor Stinziano said. “Kilwin’s staff work with Weights and Measures to ensure accurate scales and scanners that give customers everything they paid for.”
Kilwins Dublin is located at 4549 Bridge Park Ave. in the Bridge Park Waterfront. The store sells handmade fudge, chocolates, caramel corn, brittle, caramel apples and 32 flavors of ice cream.
True transactions award
The True Transactions Award is a recognition given by Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano to businesses that have a flawless record of using accurate scanners and scales that have been verified by Auditor’s office Weights and Measures inspectors. It was first awarded in March 2019, and is given out monthly to deserving businesses in townships, villages and cities across Franklin County.
Auditor Stinziano serves as the Sealer of Weights & Measures for businesses in Franklin County, excluding those located in the City of Columbus, and is responsible for the enforcement of all Ohio laws relating to weights and measures. Weights & Measures inspectors protect consumers by checking any weighing or measuring device that is used in commercial transactions at least once annually, including gas station pumps, grocery store scanners and scales, taxi meters, firewood and more.
