REAL ESTATE SETTLEMENTS
Real Estate Tax Settlement 1st Half and 2nd Half
Real Estate taxes are based on taxes and charges against real property. Real Estate Tax revenues are distributed semi-annually. Taxes are calculated by the County Auditor’s Office, and are paid to the County Treasurer’s Office, January 20 and June 20 annually. Collections are distributed semi-annually within 60 days of collections to all political subdivisions in Franklin County. Distributions include real property taxes, special assessment charges and TIF (Tax Increment Financing) district payments.
The apportionment sheets for each local government include the 2.5%, 10% and Homestead Reimbursements. These reimbursements are paid semi-annually from the Ohio Department of Taxation.
